The Regenerative Dentistry section of Frontiers in Dental Medicine aims to publish discovery and translational research that advances the understanding of tooth development, replacement and repair that impacts upon thinking and direct formulation of novel, biological-based therapies in dentistry.

Dentistry is uniquely placed to provide and test current and future paradigms in tissue regeneration and to aid the achievement of such goals we seek to provide an interdisciplinary forum for cutting-edge dental research that includes but is not limited to:
- Stem cells
- Tissue repair and regeneration
- Bioengineering and bioprinting
- Human genetics
- Development and evolution
All studies must represent significant insights in their field that relate to the advancement of regenerative dentistry.

All manuscripts must be submitted directly to the section Regenerative Dentistry, where they are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the specialty section.
