In the current investigation, the researcher focuses on researching the moderating effect of digital leadership on the association between organizational structure, organizational culture, and organizational efficiency in higher education institutions in Jordan. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data on the study with the help of a quantitative research design and 300 respondents that represented top, middle, and operational management levels in Jordanian higher education institutions. The analysis of the data was performed with the help of the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results of the findings show that organizational structure and organization culture have a strong positive impact on organizational efficiency in institutions of higher learning. Moreover, the moderation analysis demonstrates that digital leadership fails to provide a statistically significant moderating effect on the relationship between organizational structure and organizational efficiency, as well as, between organizational culture and organizational efficiency. The findings indicate that although digital leadership has a significant strategic impact in the modern higher learning institutions, the moderating effect is potentially context-and institution-specific. The research adds to the literature in the field of higher education management by expanding the previous research on the strategy communication to a more digital leadership approach, with the focus on efficiency-oriented results, as opposed to the overall performance. Discussed are practical implications of the study on academic leaders and policymakers and constraints and future research directions.
