The Lab-on-a-Chip Devices section publishes significant findings and major advances in miniaturization work including concepts in micro/nanofluidics, micro/nanosystems, micro/nano-total analysis system, sample treatment and separation, sensing, detection, imaging, chemical and biological molecules measurement and analysis, diagnostics, and medical devices.
Areas covered by the section, include but are not limited to:
- Drug screening and development techniques
- Application for genomics, proteomics, glycomics, metabolomics
- Cells, tissues, organs on chip
- Instrumentation development, improvement and miniaturization
- Point-of-care diagnostics
- Single molecule and cell analysis
- Optical and non-optical imaging technologies
This section requires that the reported methods and technologies are sufficiently innovative and robust compared to other available methods and that systems are demonstrated with real samples, or be entirely theoretical with regard to miniaturization.
