We are delighted to present the inaugural Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences “Rising Stars” article collection. This collection showcases the high-quality work of internationally recognized researchers in the early stages of their independent careers.

All Rising Star researchers were individually nominated by the Chief Editors of the Journal in recognition of their potential to influence the future directions in their respective fields. The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of astronomy and space sciences and presents advances in theory, experiment and methodology with applications to compelling problems.

New articles will be added to this collection as they are published. Please note that contributions are by invitation only.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
