Despite significant advancements, women continue to remain underrepresented in psychiatric research and leadership roles. In pursuit of science and gender equality, Frontiers in Psychiatry is proud to launch its latest collection in the ‘Women in Psychiatry’ series to showcase recent research advances from women working in the field of Autism research.
We invite submissions that address topics such as early diagnosis and intervention strategies that can transform outcomes for autistic individuals. Contributions exploring genetic and environmental influences are also welcome, as well as research on the neurobiological underpinnings of ASD. We are particularly interested in research that informs personalized approaches to care and support for autistic people.
Submissions may include original research articles, brief research reports, reviews, mini reviews and case studies that provide a fresh perspective on the challenges and opportunities within ASD research. This collection aims not only to highlight the innovative work of women researchers but also to foster a supportive community that encourages collaboration and advances gender equity in psychiatric research.
Please note: To be considered for this collection, the first or last author should be a researcher who identifies as a woman.
