Help, Near and Far: A Systematic Review of Post-COVID Digital Mental Health Solutions for Domestic Violence Victims

Domestic violence, as a global pandemic, poses a significant challenge within the field of public health, gravely impacting the mental and physical health of victims. The advent of modern digital technologies was seen as potential solutions for addressing the mental health issues of domestic violence victims. Thus, there is a need to evaluate their effectiveness. Objective: This study systematically reviewed interventions using Technology-based tools for domestic violence victims' psychological therapy, which will be helpful for health professional and policy researcher. Methods: After search three databases (PubMed, EBSCO, web Web of scienceScience) and select paper following PRISMA guideline, We reviewed existing studies addressing the psychological issues of family violence victims, summarized the available interventions, and evaluated their effectivenesswe overviewed all research focus on addressing psychology issue of family violence victims, summary all available methods, evaluate effective. Meanwhile, based on the results of the literature review, this paper proposes a series of policy recommendations from a post-COVID era perspective, integrating societal context and relevant policies. Results: Nine papers were included, and three of them reported noneffective results, while the others applying methods such as virtual reality technologies, applications, and web-based video interventions showed improvements in victims' health status in different dimensions.9 papers were included and three of which reported non effective, others applying methods such as virtual reality technologies, applications, and web-based video interventions can improve victims' health status in different dimension. Conclusion: Technology-based tools demonstrate potential in helping family violence victims, but still faces challenges in its development due to multiple practical dilemmas.
