Intrafamily violence remains a critical public health issue that detrimentally impacts children's physical and psychological well-being. Protective services are essential for safeguarding vulnerable children from such environments, yet they face numerous challenges such as systemic barriers, limited resources, and varying effectiveness of intervention programs. These challenges hinder the ability to provide adequate child protection and safety, emphasizing the need for a deeper investigation into current protective measures and strategies for improvement.
This Research Topic aims to critically evaluate the obstacles that diminish the effectiveness of protective services for children and adolescents experiencing intrafamily violence. It intends to gather insights from experts on how variations in resource allocation influence outcomes of protective services, identify innovative protective strategies and public health policies, and highlight successful interventions and networks that enhance safety and health for these at-risk youth groups.
Scope:
This Research Topic focuses on the socio-legal frameworks influencing protective measures for children affected by intrafamily violence.
To deepen our understanding and enhance protective measures, we invite contributions on: - Strategies to improve psychological and physical well-being of children from violence-affected environments. - Epidemiological studies on child and adolescent exposure to intrafamily violence and preventive strategies. - Impact of professional training and resource allocation on the effectiveness of service delivery and child welfare. - Case studies and analyses of national and international frameworks in child protection. - Policy recommendations for improving child safety and health against intrafamily violence.
This collection welcomes submissions of original research, review articles, case studies, and policy analysis to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue aimed at securing a healthier and safer future for children impacted by intrafamily violence, aligning with the sustainable development goals and health equality.
