Frontiers and the GFZ Helmholtz Centre Potsdam form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences (Helmholtz Centre Potsdam) has formed an open access publishing agreement with Frontiers. The GFZ covers Article Processing Charges (APCs) for affiliated corresponding authors who wish to publish in any Frontiers journal. The GFZ has become the 13th participating member in an agreement for open access publishing between the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres (Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Deutscher Forschungszentren) and Frontiers. Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, managed directly between Frontiers and the Open Access team at the GFZ Library, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Furthermore, the GFZ will benefit from a discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles covered by this agreement. This agreement will further encourage Helmholtz Association authors to publish open access, benefiting scientific research and the public at large as well as supporting the goals set out in the Helmholtz Association’s open access policy, which include that by the end of 2020, 60% of the publications from the previous year falling under this policy will be open access.  Information for authors: To submit your article under this institutional agreement, please select ‘GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences’ as institutional payer […]

Frontiers and the Friedrich-Schiller- Universität Jena form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Friedrich Schiller University Jena; FSU) has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The Thuringian University and State Library (ThULB) serves as the research library for the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU). Via the ThULB, the FSU supports its researchers in making their research more widely available including the possibility for eligible FSU authors to claim funding for covering article processing charges of open access articles. As part of this support, the ThULB has entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors of the FSU may publish in Frontiers journals with a streamlined invoicing process managed between Frontiers and the ThULB. For manuscripts approved for funding by the ThULB, Frontiers grants a 10 % discount on the publication fees for articles processed as part of this agreement. Frontiers and Qatar National Library form Open Access publishing agreement

Qatar National Library (QNL) supports open access publishing. As part of this support, QNL will cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible authors from a Qatar-based research institution publishing in any Frontiers journal. Eligible authors include students, faculty, researchers and staff from any institute of higher education or non-profit research institute within Qatar. To submit your article under this agreement, please select ‘Qatar National Library’ as the institutional payer in the invoicing section. Frontiers will then verify your eligibility with QNL, and if confirmed, the APC will be paid by the library upon acceptance.
