Entrepreneurial psychological capital, which encompasses an individual’s self-efficacy, optimism, hope, and resilience, is a crucial determinant in promoting entrepreneurial behaviors and decisions. Emotional intelligence (EI), defined as the ability to perceive, understand, manage, and regulate emotions, plays a significant role in shaping these entrepreneurial traits. Higher EI is associated with enhanced creative problem-solving abilities, better interpersonal relationships, and increased confidence, which significantly affect entrepreneurial intentions. Recent empirical studies emphasize that individuals equipped with strong EI are more likely to engage in entrepreneurial activities, indicating the importance of integrating psychological constructs within educational frameworks to foster entrepreneurial mindsets among students.
The goal of this research topic is to explore the interplay between entrepreneurial psychological capital and EI. By analyzing the relationships between these constructs, the aim is to establish a comprehensive understanding of how EI contributes to the development of psychological capital among aspiring entrepreneurs, thereby influencing their entrepreneurial intentions and career choices. This research topic will also examine the extent to which EI can mediate various psychological elements, such as self-efficacy and resilience, that are pivotal in nurturing effective entrepreneurial behaviors. Ultimately, it seeks to provide insights that can inform educational strategies aimed at enhancing emotional intelligence and psychological capital.
