This study made an effort to examine resilience as a potential predictor of work engagement and well-being and to identify the role of self-efficacy that may contribute to the enhancement of these elements within educational environments in China. To this end, a total of 411 Chinese educators took part, and they were provided with self-reported questionnaires for the variables. The structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to assess the suggested structural framework, and the results revealed that the resilience of Chinese teachers was a significant positive predictor of both their engagement and well-being. The results indicated that resilience and efficacy are both significant predictors of well-being, jointly explaining 43.6% of its variance. The inspection of the mediating effects indicated that efficacy is a significant mediator in the relationships between both resilience and teacher engagement, as well as resilience and well-being. Through an exploration of the interrelationships among these constructs and an analysis of the mediating role of self-efficacy, the present research contributes to identifying the factors that impact teachers' work engagement and well-being. This insight may be significant in enhancing the efficacy of their instructional methodologies within academic contexts.
