Frontiers and the University of Gävle form open access publishing agreement

The University of Gävle (Högskolan i Gävle) supports their authors publishing open access. As part of this support, eligible authors from the University of Gävle will benefit from a 10% discount under the terms of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement. To submit your article under this institutional agreement, it is recommended you submit with an email domain affiliated to your institution. When submitting your article, please select ‘University of Gävle’ as the institutional payer in the invoice section. Frontiers will then verify your eligibility with the University of Gävle Library, and if confirmed, the discounted APC invoice will be paid by the Library. Eligible authors are corresponding authors of a given article who meet the funding criteria of Mälardalen University. ‘An affair of the heart’: Dagmar Haase on the motivation behind new Land Use Dynamics section

Professor Dagmar Haase capitalizes on the Frontiers open-access platform to address issues of sustainability and resilience in land-use management. — by Louisa Wood Urbanization, biodiversity declines, exploitation and socio-economic segregation of resources, climate change: human-induced pressures on land systems are unprecedented, with changes in the way land is used having far-reaching global consequences. To address these challenges and drive solutions for a more sustainable and resilient future, Frontiers in Environmental Science has launched Land Use Dynamics — a centralized hub of interdisciplinary, solution-orientated research in land system science.  Led by Professor Dagmar Haase of Humboldt University Berlin, and supported by an outstanding team of Associate Editors, this new section publishes innovative insights into land-use variation and the temporal dynamics of land-use change, as well as the driving forces behind land dynamics and their socio-ecological feedbacks. “Land use and land-use change issues are very much at the forefront of earth, environmental, and social sciences. Bangor University reactivates publishing agreement with Frontiers as part of JISC UK National Open Access Agreement

We are delighted to inform you that Bangor University has re-established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. (Updated 1 June 2022) Bangor University (Prifysgol Bangor) supports open access publishing by covering Article Process Charges (APCs) for eligible corresponding authors affiliated with the University who wish to publish in any Frontiers journal. To be eligible, your manuscript must meet the following requirements: Be the result of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funded or UKRI partially funded research, including PhD Study (Included funding from AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, NERC, STFC) Be the result of a project which has reached its end date, or a live grant which does not provide funds to cover publication costs. Include a statement acknowledging the funding that supported the research and, if applicable, a statement on how the underlying research materials, such as data, samples or models, may be accessed. Frontiers and the Netherlands Institute of Ecology form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the Netherlands Institute of Ecology has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The Netherlands Institute of Ecology (Nederlands Instituut voor Ecologie, NIOO-KNAW), associated with the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, supports open access publishing by covering article-processing charges (APCs) for affiliated corresponding authors, publishing in any Frontiers journal. As part of this support, eligible authors from the NIOO-KNAW can publish open access articles in any Frontiers journal at no charge to the author. To submit your article under this institutional agreement, please select ‘Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW)’ as institutional payer in the invoice section when submitting your article.
