Women in Porous Crystalline Networks

Last year we launched our Porous Crystalline Networks section aiming to contribute to the solution of current social problems regarding energy through optimization of consumption, storage, green energy production, and water through sensing and decontamination.

This year, we are delighted to present the Research Topic Women in Porous Crystalline Networks, focused on the crucial contributions that women are doing in the field. According to our data women in the field are underrepresented with only a 27% of the articles being authored by female researchers. We would like to invite pioneering and emerging women to contribute to this article collection.

We welcome articles on themes including but not limited to metal-organic frameworks or porous coordination polymers, covalent organic frameworks, polyoxometalates, molecular porous materials, zeolites and composites, and in general, applications of porous crystalline networks to energy storage and production, catalysis, water, gas storage and separation, molecule capture, materials processability, etc.
