This Research Topic is the second volume of the article collection: "Employee Resilience". Please see the first volume here.
Resilience at the personal level is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor in how firms can maintain sustainability and foster growth, particularly amidst the ongoing crises such as economic downturns, pandemics, and wars. The concept of resilience in employees contributes greatly not only to personal satisfaction and the creation of a positive work environment but also to improved organizational achievements. Despite this acknowledgment, the intricate variables and processes facilitating the development and enhancement of individual resilience remain underexplored and necessitate further investigation.
This Research Topic aims to construct a comprehensive, current theoretical framework for understanding employee resilience. It seeks to determine the key variables and processes that influence the formation and sustainability of personal resilience within the professional realm through qualitative, quantitative, or bibliometric research methods. A particular focus will be on deriving causal models that predict the emergence of resilience, thus offering valuable insights into its mechanisms and potential for development.
To gather further insights into the interconnected components of employee resilience, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Variables of the context, the organization, and individual characteristics influencing employee resilience
- Effective methods for measuring employee resilience
- Theoretical perspectives explaining the formation and impact of employee resilience
- The influence of leadership in cultivating resilience within the workforce
- The role of Human Resources in fostering personal resilience among employees
- Development of causal models for predicting employee resilience
