Background

Gibberellins (GAs) play diverse and essential roles as plant hormones, regulating key aspects of plant growth, development, and adaptation to stressful environments. Recent research continues to reveal new functions for GAs across developmental stages, from influencing seed germination and stem elongation to modulating flowering, fruit development, and responses to both abiotic and biotic stresses.

This Research Topic invites contributions that expand our understanding of GA biology, with special attention to how GAs enhance plant resilience and productivity in modern agriculture. Studies may explore molecular and physiological mechanisms, regulatory pathways, hormone crosstalk, and innovative approaches for manipulating GA signaling to optimize crop performance under changing and challenging conditions.
