Plant Biophysics and Modeling focuses on the basic physical principles guiding plant physiology, development, homeostasis and growth, and how these processes lead to well-adapted and optimized systems. Plant Biophysics and Modeling is a multi- and interdisciplinary section that aims to publish the best research at the interface of physics, mathematics, bioinformatics and plant biology, and welcomes a wide range of research, both empirical and theoretical in nature, and at all scales of organization — from the molecular to the organismic level. We especially welcome contributions in the area of molecular and cell biophysics, physiology, bionics, computational cell biology, structural protein analyses, synthetic biology, quantitative developmental studies, and biomechanics.
